Our full-color club magazine, The MG Driver, is published six times a year and delivered to your home as part of your membership. Established in 1991 by our founding editor, Ken Smith, our professionally printed format features 68 pages in a size that can fit in a typical dash box so you can always keep a copy handy to show your fellow enthusiasts.
The MG Driver has focused on providing a balance of technical articles that will help you keep your MG on the road along with members articles on their trips or adventures. A typical issue will include:
- Technical information ranging from the simple to the complex.
- Event Coverage (National, Regional, Local)
- Product and book reviews
- Resources and Parts Information
- Travelogues
- History of the marque
- Event and For Sale listings
To see for yourself, just how good the material in The MG Driver really is, please scroll further down and take a look at a few of the issues we have included online.
Member contributions to The MG Driver are always welcome. We want your tech tips, adventure stories, histories, news items – anything MG! You don’t have to be Ernest Hemingway, Stroker Ace, or Peter Egan. We are glad to edit and format your story. NAMGBR is run by and for its members and that includes The MG Driver magazine!
Contact Robert Rushing, The MG Driver editor, by e-mail for details. Electronic submissions of text documents (Word or simple email) and high-resolution JPG image files are preferred.
Example Issues of The MG Driver
Seeing is believing, so in order to show you how good The MG Driver magazine really is, we are making available 3 full issues as PDF files. To make the files a manageable size, some images have had to be compressed. So the quality of these PDFs is not the same as what we send to the printer. The final printed version is the same high quality as anything you’ll find in a newspaper/magazine store.
As noted above, the format/size of the magazine is deliberate. It’s designed around fitting into the glovebox of an MGB (those that had them). This enures they are easy to have with you when you’re driving/touring. The Mutual Aid Directory, is the same size/format for the exact same reason.
