Both Moss Motors and Little British Car Co. Ltd are suppliers who will have them and both are advertisers in our magazine, The MG Driver for 2024. There are, of course, other good retailers for these parts.
Also try Abington spares, and rimmer bros.
Look for stainless steel. Try the MG Owner Club UK if Moss doesn’t have them.

My first really big drive to a convention and the sheer delight of discovering Utah and western states by road for the first time. ✅
MG2011 in Reno was also our first major trip in our MGB GT. Here is the log of that memorable trip: www.mgexp.com/forum/calgary-mg-club.63/calgary-to-reno-mg-2011-meet.1775546/

Hope all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Apologize for getting this out so late. I've been under the weather all week. Feeling a bit better today so as long as not a setback, I'll attend this one now that Carter and I are finally back in town.
For the following meet-up December 16th, we'll be back in Northwest Tarrant at Ginger Brown's in Lake Worth.

Hi Rocky. Happen to live within close proximity to this eatery. I own a 1977 MGB which I am in the middle of a total restoration to that of a "British" look. About 80% complete. However, because I have not had this on the road that often I am concerned about the motor and tranny. Do you happen to have a mechanic who has experience in the MGB? If so please text me: hboggie101@yahoo.com. thanks
I am longing with the day when my dog decide to cane with me in my MG

I like the body color rocker cover, nice touch!
Wow.
Immaculate! What a lucky car!
I'm assembling a 1979 B, so have a question. What is the doohickey mounted in a bracket just in front of the washer reservoir tank? Two wires with light colored terminals on it.
Can ya come do mine,,,
Very impressive! Well done.
Love this. What ignition system
What is in line in the upper radiator hose?
impossible to keep it that clean 🧽
That's art
I am jealous!
You don't use it
Nice
If only you had a smog pump...
Looks great to me. I too made my engine bay the same color as the body on my 79B. You don't see many with the mud shield installed.
Did you buy her new?
Here is the engine compartment of my 1979 MGB. This is how it looked when I sold it 7 years ago. Purchased the car in 1993 and did a rolling restoration that took me 10 years.
I wish! ❤️
I wish I could restore mine to that level I can’t imagine the hours and costs?
Impressive
Very nice 👍
Well done, good to look at
Look at all that room for a straight 6!. Loved my MGC.

I owned this '67 B roadster for a couple of years. I bought it locally here in northern California. I had seen the car displayed at British car shows in the area, and had met the owner and lavished praise on his car. I had mentioned that if he were to sell it, to please contact me. He did; that was about five years ago now. This car was sold originally in Sunnyvale CA, and had lived its life in the mild climate of the San Francisco Bay Area, so rust was minimal. It was treated to a semi-restoration, with body and paint done by a premium restoration shop. The engine was redone by a reputable British car shop. The former owner did a lot of the work himself. Receipts totaled over $50,000. In reviewing those receipts, I saw no cases where work or parts were overcharged. Redoing an MGB is not an inexpensive endeavor. ... See MoreSee Less

I had posted these photos and comments on this thread, and decided to share here as well: www.mgexp.com/forum/mgb-and-gt-forum.1/cost-of-restoration.4732174/
Right you are!
Similar story. I bought this 3-1/2 years ago. It had been restored in '99-'00, and the previous owner included the receipts. I added up over 40k, and that was all before the supercharger and o/d transmission was installed. Wish he had a couple more. (He was actually restoring a Sunbeam Tiger at the time....maybe I should give him a call 😉)
Yep, you don’t restore these cars as an investment. But once you get them fixed up and are driving them all the time, they are relatively inexpensive to maintain.
30k as much
Thank you for Saying that. The MGB is my very Fave to Restore. We always have one in the go. Like anything the price on restored cars is negated by complete units that are in good condition. If it comes from the swamp then it’s a killer to have done rightly—/ it’s lols fantastic and I do like to colour!
Oh and hey’ any other new car driven off the lot NEW is worth 1/2 as much..
Have to watch what work you pay for also. Looked at a 71 GT. Owner had purchased for 17k. Had 36k in receipts in resto. He was asking 19k. I always bring a borescope to check cars. Looked through drain holes in castle rail. Noticed the new jack point and realized that the membrane was gone! They replaced the jack point and rockerpanel, didn't even take the time to remove the rusted remains of the membrane. This was done at a local well known British shop.
Yes, it is expensive. Very nice MG.
Restoration is incredibly expensive.. Easy to spend over $100k on even the most mundane antique.
I'm currently doing a Resto mod on a 67-B. I'm making it my own creation because I love the C bonnet and have customized it just a little with louvers and some venting on the raised area up front. I'm going with a 95 Camero V6 3.4 and 5 speed. This could cost much more than I will ever sell it for, but I do not intend to sell it. I want it for retirement and perhaps travel the US a few times a year until I can't drive anymore. Plan to take my clubs and hit as many links as possible. 🙂 The best will be a cruse up the PCH from SD to Victoria.
The sad truth is that it can cost about as much to restore an MGA as to do a Jaguar. I have about $32,000 in my MGA for body & paint alone.
If you restore one, just accept the fact that you will be upsidedown when you finish. Never came close to breaking even on the few I have done. 67 GTO, 67 Catilina, VW "Thing", now working on 69 MG B, & MG TD. I'm keeping the MG and let my boys squabble when I am gone... Safety Fast
Malade.
B's are great cars, so enjoyable
Beautiful job ! I owned a 69 MGB Primrose Yellow.
I'm good. 1965 B.
I had the same car in Norway, but with the crossflow top and weber 45 x 2. Nice lovely car. Sold it this sommer.

Always like your Iris Blue Paul. Great to get out and about 20 years after purchase. My photo from 11/29/23 on the Pearl River just off the Natchez Trace.
Great colour
Beautiful car
I absolutely love that blue!
Sorry to say the touring is season over in Maryland. It was a hot one! Sooo looking forward to 2024, be well.
Similar but different
You know, my first impression was that I didn't like that blue on your car, and blue is my favorite color. Then, I realized I still liked it because the MG is so much more than just a 'sports car', a 'traditional' red or BRG. Nice car !! I really miss mine.
