Our 2017 annual convention will be in San Diego CA and is being hosted with the support of the San Diego MG Club from Sunday June 25, 2017 to Wednesday June 28, 2017. We have a fantastic event in store for everyone and you’ll hopefully find all the information you need here and on the dedicated event website https://mg2017.namgbr.org.
Please use all of the event site to plan your MG 2017 adventure and don’t forget about ordering regalia in addition to your registration for the convention itself. There will be just a limited regalia supply available at the convention, so please pre-order if there’s something you specifically want.
Thanks in advance for your interest and support of MG 2017. We hope you will join us for this unique convention location. You can keep up with the latest information by also liking the event’s dedicated Facebook page. Click this link to visit it https://www.facebook.com/NAMGBRMG2017 or scroll further down this page to see a feed from the Facebook page right here.
Please note that the MG 2017 event is using a new website name structure, to be more closely tied with NAMGBR. So, please note that the event website is mg2017.namgbr.org and this will be the format for future events as well, each year the annual convention is a NAMGBR event rather than the all register events that take place every 5 years.
Want a place to chat and make plans with your fellow MG enthusiasts for MG 2017? Don’t do Facebook?
We have the perfect place and are partnering with The MG Experience to provide a dedicated forum for all things MG 2017. The MG Experience is a highly regarded online MG community and chances are you’re already signed up on the site. It’s probably already your virtual MG Club! If not, please head on over to the MG Experience site and set yourself up – it’s completely free (although there are additional membership levels available). You’ll then be set to take advantage of the MG 2017 forum and all the discussions, tech tips, reference materials and MG camaraderie the site provides.
This is not just a hotel it’s a full resort and spa, right on the ocean!
Check out the hotel’s website for details about the Spa options. Paradise Point offers five pools and Jacuzzis scattered around the 44-acre property, which is encircled by one mile of white sandy beach, perfect for sand castle building, sand volleyball, and other beach games like bocce ball and horseshoes. Mission Beach and Pacific Beach are also just a short drive away for guests looking to hit the waves. The hotel has a private, full-service marina, located adjacent to the Barefoot Bar & Grill. Here on the shimmering waters of San Diego’s Mission Bay, hotel guests can enjoy convenient access to SeaWorld alongside various aquatic activities such as sailing, jet skiing, motor boating and kayaking can be learned and enjoyed. See this link for information about the marina and water sports.
Room rates will be $184.00 plus taxes at this prime location, destination hotel. This rate includes the combined daily $62 Passport to Paradise fee providing use of internet, fitness center, basketball, tennis, ping pong, horseshoes, etc; and parking fees. The MG2017 rate is guaranteed to be lower than published rates and with the extra fees included in our event rate, this makes it very attractive for southern California given the location and facilities available.
To take a virtual tour of the hotel, please see the video below.

Saw all of those. Anyone got a good pic of a red MGB with a hardtop, it's easy to spot with the round porthole windows? It's mine, and I was so frazzled, I didn't get a shot of it. Would be nice to have. It was in the "engine transplant" side of the show. (Like the back row, so we wouldn't embarrass anyone!) Carmine red, round porthole hard top, ran like crap at the time. Found a major vacuum leak later.

The red one with the black bumpers & silver stripe with the luggage rack is identical to one I owned. Sure wish I still had it. Thanks for the pictures. Brought back great memories.
I THINK that's mine in the right center picture. Not the one in front, but the one behind with the hood open. I think. Good show, lovely weather, great place, but getting there was a screaming B&#(%h!!!
