BRITISH LEGEND WEEKEND OCTOBER 11 to 13, 2019
MORE THAN HALF OF THE HOTEL ROOMS RESERVED AT A SPECIAL GROUP RATE ARE GONE ALREADY!
BOOK SOON OR YOU MAY MISS OUT !
The Cape Cod British Car Club’s 19th annual British Legends Weekend is two months away. Nevertheless, all of the rooms reserved for participants at a reduced rate at one hotel and many at the second are already taken. So we are urging people to book now in order to take advantage of the savings.
Our three day celebration of British motoring begins with a Meet and Greet Friday evening, continues with your choice of two different cruises on Saturday, a banquet at the Plymouth Plantation Saturday night and a car show Sunday on a beautiful grass field at the Plymouth Airport. In addition to awards in all classes, there will be vendors, food and beverage trucks, a tent for enjoying your meal with a beer or a glass of wine, a silent auction, regalia for sale and more.
If you are unfamiliar with Plymouth, Massachusetts, you are in for a treat. Come early Friday and leave late Monday. There is so much to do. Of course there is plenty of history including the famous Plymouth Plantation living history museum, Plymouth Rock, historic homes, Pilgrim Hall, burial hill and so much more. And if you are a foodie, there are over 30 pubs and restaurants downtown to meet every appetite. Like Korean, French, Mexican, Vegan, Brazilian, great seafood? You name it. Are you an outdoors person? Walking and biking trails, kayaking, horseback riding, camping and hiking all within the boundaries of the town which is the largest in Massachusetts both in landmass as well as in population. Take a walk on the esplanade along Plymouth beautiful harbor or on Nelson Beach which is also downtown. Arts and music your thing? Visit galleries including the Plymouth Center for the Arts or tour an artist’s studio, catch a concert at the Spire Center or at Memorial Hall. Drop into one of the many restaurants and pubs which have live music throughout the weekend. Like something unique to drink? Head to one of two wine bars and a winery, one of three microbreweries or visit a distillery all within walking distance of each other in the downtown district. Or check out the various unique shops including antique and consignment establishments. Go for a whale watch if you have the time. Bottom line, there is no way to end up bored in this lively seaside community.
