By Tony Burgess – NAMGBR Convention Coordinator

This year’s NAMGBR Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held the weekend of October 22-24, 2021 in Nashville, TN at the Radisson – Nashville Airport.

As you are probably aware, our June 2022 Convention is scheduled to take place in Peterborough, Ontario hosted by the MG Car Club of Toronto, and normally we would hold our AGM in that location. However, due to the restrictions in place with crossing the Canadian/U.S. border, we’ve had to resort to “Plan B”.

Because of this, we have chosen Nashville, TN for this year’s AGM. Nashville is centrally located within the U.S. with good flight connections should you choose to fly.

On Saturday morning since we cannot tour the 2022 car show location, we’ll instead visit the Lane Motor Museum in Nashville for a semi-guided tour of their 580 vehicles on display or stored in their basement “vault”. They house the largest display of European cars in the U.S.  The cost of this tour will be $6 per person.

The weekend’s schedule is as follows:

Friday night (October 22nd)

6:00 pm– Meet at the hotel

7:00 pm – Dinner

Saturday (October 23th) (am & pm schedules)

10:00-Noon – Tour of the fabulous Lane Motor Museum

Noon-1:00pm – lunch

1:00-5:00 – NAMGBR Annual General Meeting in the hotel meeting room.

6:00pm – Dinner (offsite)

Sunday (October 24th) – Check out and travel home.

Our Host hotel will be the Radisson Nashville Airport (1112 Airport Center Drive, Nashville, TN 37214) and we have rooms blocked for Friday and Saturday nights (Oct 22-23) at the rate of $109/night plus tax. To book your room, please phone the Radisson on 615-866-4017 and press 1 for reservations. Our Group Code is “NAMGBR-AGM”.

To help us with our planning, we have established a registration website so we know how many to expect for Friday and Saturday’s activities. Please logon to our secure website and complete the few short questions.

Please let me know (MGOHIO1@GMAIL.COM) if you have questions regarding our Annual Meeting.
